Known issues with some operators
Mobistar (Belgium)
It is impossible to send a trail along the "Send" or "Save and send" when you are connected to the mobile Internet (3G or EDGE).
It is therefore better to use the "Save" to save your trail locally and then send your trail through the "Send" screen in "Trails" when you are connected to a WiFi network.
Bouygues Telecom (France)
Download topographic maps is impossible when you are connected to the mobile Internet (probably due to a limitation of the operator on the size of files that can be received by the mobile connection).
It is therefore advised to download maps from your wireless network.
Download trails
It is not possible to download a trail whose name contains the character "/" or is empty
It is currently impossible to download via the "Trails / Download" a trail whose name contains the character "/" or is empty.
If the problematic trail is yours, you are advised to rename it before download it to your iPhone.
Buy topographic maps
How to order topographic maps?
The procedure for buying topographic maps is explained in the manual and also in the display "Help" located in the software.
How to download for the iPhone a map already purchased with GeoLlives Web Editor or Geolives PC Editor ?
Download your map from your iPhone by following the procedure explained in the screen "Help". It will not be invoiced.
How to download a map already bought for the iPhone on PC Geolives GeolLives Editor or Web Editor ?
- For Geolives Web Editor, purchased the map from the iPhone is unlocked automatically. If this is not the case, simply click on the card and confirm it will be released for free.
-For GeoiLves PC Editor, use the "Buy maptiles" in the left menu of your account on our website www.geolives.com to order the same maps for your PC Geolives Editor. They will not be rebilled.
How to buy a Super-map for the iPhone?
It is unfortunately not yet possible to buy Super-card directly from your iPhone.This possibility will be proposed in a forthcoming update of the software.
If you save a Geolives PC Editor, it is possible to order Super-Cards for PC GeoLives Editor and then to obtain slabs corresponding for free for your iPhone as 2nd unit.
If you only have a Mac and not a PC, you can contact us at contact@geolives.com us to adapt to your account so you can order Super-cards for your Geolives Web Editor and then get the tiles corresponding for free your iPhone.
Registration to Geolives
When I launch the software for the first time and I choose a country, it asked me to sign up to EUR 15 to Geolives while the software is free.
Use all the features of the software is free on Google Maps by choosing the option "World (Google Maps)" in the selection list of countries.
With the subscription for 15 EUR you can also use our free maps of various European countries and to purchase topographic maps for use on your iPhone.
